Bio:
Author D N D has been on his spiritual and artistic path for many decades since his birth and basic education in Montreal Quebec 1949.Since leaving his birthplace Montreal he has dedicated his many decades to studying, experiencing and understanding spiritual principals, meditation, awakened states and many of the creative and performing arts. The spiritual education included three different spiritual guide/teachers/gurus in India and many various spiritual practices/meditation. The arts included music, composition, musicianship, theatre, comedy, acting, creative writing focused on theatrical performances, events, plays, TV and film production, and the writing of this book and a previous book on Tantra ( teachings from India/China) “Tantric Sex and the Tao” The studies continue to this day now mostly focused on preparing for our soon to be “Golden Age” which several “High Sources” are indicating may be arriving by 2024-2025.Having lived into his 70’s DND has attempted to put into book form all that he has discovered on his journey, containing specifically the “Best of the Best” he feels he has been blessed with, from many brilliant other authors/thinkers all of which together gives a holistic view, and very broad perspective on life and how we as humans fit into the greater scheme of things, the greater and vast story of our universe.
Welcome, D N D. Please tell us a little bit about your new release.
This present book completed in 2022 (and which took almost three years to produce including the publication process) as I have noted just moments ago, is a synthesis of all that I as student of life, have learned, spiritually, intellectually, artistically, worldly, philosophically and psychologically. It is my legacy the only thing I have to give to the world and its generations. I consider it a compilation of the most brilliant ideas, philosophies, integrative perspectives on life as a whole. I merely glued it all together, integrating cosmic humour, fascinating and even bizarre insights, some science data and lots of philosophy and inspiring sayings. But I did allow cosmic humour( lots of spiritual and earthly humour and jokes) to move it all along leading to its climax and ultimate insights by none other than the Creator Him/Herself speaking through the mouthpiece of humorist George Burns who happened to play the role of “God” in a trilogy of God films just before he left this earthly ‘soon to be Paradise’. Mother Gaia, Terra, Earth.
What was the inspiration for this book?
The inspiration for the book came from many angles and sources, not the least my own inner Divine propelling me along my path and stimulating my drive to put all that I have learned into one basic readable and entertaining book. Having recently read a book on how older people should have a strong desire go share their legacy of knowledge and wisdom with their families, friends and strangers alike, since they have the decades of understanding to draw from. I felt that very drive since I have no family of my own wife, children, but do have the whole of humanity, my extended family, to share my understanding and hopefully wisdom with. So my inspiration was the God within me wanting to share with fellow humans and the God within each of those human entities, here on our mutual home Mother Earth. And I enjoyed sharing the cosmic joke throughout the book, but tried not to giveaway the cosmic punchline, at least not until the final pages.
Excerpt from AhHa…Guide to the Golden Age:
There turns out to be only two main emotions or viewpoints…. you either live in fear or love. You either choose to meet each moment with fear, hate, judgement, selfishness or with love, brotherhood, and crazy compassion for the other humans who are still lost in the Maya maze. There is this present ‘apparent earth system’ under the control of the power elite on the planet, who does not want us to know the truth by the way. So they feed us their illusion (the matrix, like the film) and we eat it up until we say “No more”. Read more of this book and hopefully this will help to lift the ‘veils’ somewhat. You still will have to investigate, ponder and choose and decide which path you want to go on…. fear or love, understanding the reality or living and believing in the Big lie, the story narrative presented by the system (which by the way, controls the MSM, along with most everything else.) As long as we can begin to see the possibility that there may be more to this whole ‘Life Thing’ than meets the eye. And that the best way to approach this, is to enjoy it all like a play, find our individual roles to play, and decide on which team we want to play on” love… or… fear”. Then we just go for it. It’s set up for us each to decide using our free will. So yes I really really want this writing to contain this spirit of playfulness, the spirit of the Jim Careys, Marx Brothers, John Belushis of the world, as well as the compassionate empathetic understanding of the Jesus and Buddha’s of our world. My first spiritual teacher Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh in India in the seventies, summed it up with his phrase…”Zorba the Buddha”. It looks at life through the lens of an aware and compassionate Buddha, and yet enjoys the dance just like Zorba the Greek, living, laughing, loving while you can, while you still have a body and heart and mind that functions. There are really just “us chickens” down here, one Big Chicken in fact, clucking and pecking away, ignorant of life outside the chicken coop, but feverishly running after the food and perks, and any available chickens. It’s up to us to look up from the chicken eye view of the world, peek around and figure it out and understand what ‘really is going on’, in this noisy earthy barnyard and beyond….
What exciting new project are you working on next?
I am beginning to mull over the strong possibility that I may attempt a Volume 111 of my AhHa…Guide To The Golden Age integrating the many new insights, and more brilliant other writers/thinkers/philosophers. Also I am involved with a very special process based in India, guided by two living Avatars Shree Amma/Bhagwan (fully enlightened husband/wife in South India with their vast enlightenment triggering temple near Madras India).This process uses zoom technology with various processes each month to prepare up to 70,000 serious seekers/devotees to become enlightened and to help enlighten the rest of humanity after their personal awakening. Shree Kalki Bhagwan has a lineage going back 850 years(some his own previous incarnations) which was a preparation for this moment in time, helping to awaken humanity into this soon to be “Golden Age”
So this Vol.3 would be a book with the same “AhHA…” title but would be the enlightened version….hopefully. As of June 2023, I will be into the third year of this process to awaken into the higher consciousness of an illumined or enlightened state of mind and being. Writing a book from this higher state of consciousness would truly be an expression of deep and abiding wisdom, as apposed to my more ‘unenlightened’ though somewhat awakened consciousness in which I experience life on a daily basis. In my journey I did experience awakening processes in my frontal brain, which are prerequisites to the higher enlightened state. I wrote the book in that state of consciousness, but it is not the same as the much higher state of an enlightened being. When that great day arrives then I will have the right to title the book “AhHa…Guide To The Golden Age”…the enlightened version.
The book will also be divided into Vol.1 a shortened version of the book minus Chapters 12, 13, 14, or readers can buy the full book which includes both Vol.1 and Vol.2 with Volume 3 yet to be. Lastly just as an aside I should mention that the AhHA… letters are an acronym. It was never my own idea . As the title expanded and took on a life of its own, it went from my original thought mimicking a previous author’s book “A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy”, my title was a “Hopeful Hippy’s Guide to the Galaxy “ Then it became a”Hopeful Hippy’s Guide to the Golden Age”, Then as it metamorphosed, it veered into a “Hopeful Hippy Artist’s Guide To The Golden Age” But feeling the need to shorten my ‘Opus’ I eliminated those first words “A Hopeful Hippy Artist” to the simpler AhHA…And that’s how this book was born…
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I have never really considered myself an actual full fledged for real writer, though I have written various things in different writing media. This included four stage plays, happenings, cosmic comedies, a multi-disciplinary video/live play/musical cosmic comedy, loads of songs with lyrics, some copy writing for radio, one other previous and much shorten non-fiction book, and lots of live comedy material with my friend Angela Brown in our performance years in our “Time Travellers” live show format (comedy, characters, music, dance and general all around mayhem). Entertainment for the New Millennium coming to a “Galaxy near You”..
And I never had the ongoing steady consistent discipline to to write regularly on a more professional basis. My mother had actually hoped I would be a writer, due to her love of reading with excellent authors. So I suppose this book is my attempt to fulfill her desire for me to be such a creative artist, her own mother had actually been a professional French speaking actress in Montreal Quebec from ten years of age during the depression up to her final stroke when she was 84 years old, which ended a very interesting career. Of her eight children she seemed to have dreams for me in that way. Although it is hard for me to top my other older brother who reached a high level of creativity as a postman. My oldest brother was actually a professional musician and I was probably driven to study music due to his influence. So all considered my family has this artistic background. But I was still the ‘flaky hippy”. Ah what can you do except be what you are in life… just another expression of Divinity playing the role of a human being on our present stage Mother Earth.
I actually found time to write this book beginning first, during my second trip to South America, especially when I was forced to stay in one place and begin the book due to my difficult circumstances of being ripped off of my money, debit cards, passport in Bolivia in 2019. While waiting and virtually penniless in La Paz Bolivia for some two weeks(awaiting passport, money and interact card to be sent to Bolivia), I had lots of time though no money. But I did have my laptop and my beginning ideas about this book. The second set of circumstances giving me the time to write the book was due to the Covid “Plandemic” in Canada where I was actually happy to remain holed up in my home in Hope BC, and just get up each day and keep on writing. I enjoyed getting into the habit of daily writing with very few other distractions except for useless things like eating, going to the bathroom, paying bills and taking an awful lot of illegal drugs…just kidding (well except for a little pot which hippies are known to imbibe in). I was actually happy to merely escape into writing this book which insisted I write and complete, rather get lost in these distractions such as drugs, illicit sex, video games and more illegal drugs etc. My days were basically …get up, do my meditation, turn on my jazz Spotify station and back to the day after day writing.
