The book title caught my attention and then the subtitle that promised to help me be the heroine of my own business (and personal) lives, won me over.

Lisa Bilyeu has a straightforward, no-BS style of sharing what she has learned over her years in developing several businesses — and herself.

I love her writing style — she writes like she talks; she’s her authentic self on and off the page.

With a focus on growth and success mindsets this year, I think this book is a perfect fit for anyone needing to overcome some business-related challenges.

Did you recently lose your cool and get a bit emotional over a business issue? Take a step back and a deep breath, and check out Chapter 9: Get Unpissed…Gain Emotional Sobriety.

Experience a massive fail with a new launch, like, where you planned for every possible risk, except the one that reared its head at the last moment? Chapter 10 is for you: When the Shit Hits the Fan…Wear Goggles. There’s a way past it, honest! One of my favorite chapters is 4: Embrace the Ick…Open Up the Can of Worms.

The business journey isn’t always going to be smooth sailing, but before we can truly set foot on the boat, we have to acknowledge our non-negotiables when planning our journeys.

Lisa is still a work in progress (aren’t we all?!); her confidence shakes now and again (just like ours does!), but she knows how to get herself back on the right track and embrace her Radical Confidence quickly. She’ll make you think, tell you what questions to ask yourself, and help you to also achieve radical confidence in your own life.

And just so you know, she calls everyone ‘Homie,’ so don’t feel singled out.
