Bio:
Nina Amir, the Inspiration to Creation Coach, is an 19X Amazon bestselling hybrid author. She supports writers on the journey to successful authorship as an Author Coach, Transformational Coach, and Certified High-Performance Coach (CHPC ® )—the only one working with writers.

In addition to her most recent book, Change the World One Book at a Time: Make a Positive and

Meaningful Difference with Your Words, Nina wrote three traditionally published books for aspiring authors—How to Blog a Book, The Author Training Manual, and Creative Visualization for Writers. Additionally, she has self-published a host of books and ebooks, including the Write Nonfiction NOW! series of guides. She has had 19 books on the Amazon Top 100 List and as many as six books on the Authorship bestseller list at the same time.

Nina is an award-winning journalist and blogger, as well as a successful nonfiction developmental editor. Some of her editing clients have sold 300,000+ copies of their books, landed deals with major publishing houses and created thriving businesses around their books.

To further support writers, Nina created the Nonfiction Writers’ University, where members access a huge archive of resources, such as courses, ebooks, and interviews with writing and publishing experts, and receive monthly group Author Coaching. Additionally, she created the Write Nonfiction in November Challenge and Author of Change Transformational Programs. Nina also founded the Inspired Creator Community, which provides group transformational (spiritual and personal growth) coaching around the topic of creating what matters.

Welcome, Nina. Please tell us a little bit about your new release.
Change the World One Book at a Time: How to Make a Positive and Meaningful Difference with Your Words, will teach those who want to write for change how to produce books that serve as potent tools for transformation. Like Becoming a Citizen Activist meets Writing to Change the World, this nonfiction reference book will provide activists, coaches, healers, clergy, speakers, leaders, writers, and anyone who wants to write a book that makes a difference with a comprehensive guide to understanding the change process, building engaged communities around their missions, and writing books that move readers to action.

A variety of books have been published about how to become an author. To date, however, none have focused on providing strategies specifically geared toward writers who want to inspire and motivate change. These writers need a better-than-average manual about how to write and publish.

What inspired you to write this book?
Change the World One Book at a Time: Make a Positive and Meaningful Difference with Your Words was inspired by my many years of involvement with the San Francisco Writing for Change Conference. I saw how many different types of writers wanted to produce books that created change in lives or the world. I realized all the types of information they needed to succeed, and I decided to write a book that would provide that education.

Plus, I have always wanted to write books that change lives—books about personal and spiritual growth. I ended up writing about becoming an author (at least to date), but all my books include discussions related to change. And my books help others write books that change lives.

Excerpt from Change the World One Book at a Time: Make a Positive and Meaningful Difference with Your Words:
Authors of Change are people from all walks of life—writers, coaches, healers, conscious entrepreneurs, visionaries, experts, parents, and activists—who choose to write books that make a difference. They fall into one or more of the following categories:

A Transformer feels spiritually or morally called to create change. You have an inner need to transform lives or the world and operate with a strong sense of higher calling. You know your message, cause, or movement is something you are meant to pursue. It’s your sacred work during this lifetime to positively transform people, situations, and conditions.

An Activist is motivated by injustice, problems, or broken situations that need repair. You feel driven by your values and a strong sense of right versus wrong. You sense the ailing places of the world deeply in your core, and they motivate you to heal them.

A Messenger knows that sharing knowledge and experience provides a means of service. You might sense that your personal story has transformative power. And you feel service is your purpose and the highest act of giving.

An Expert is a thought leader or authority in a subject area or industry. You feel a strong urge to offer your knowledge and make a difference. You know your expertise and experience can help others, and you want to give back and use your influence for good.

According to Brendon Burchard, New York Times bestselling author of The Millionaire Messenger, experts also fall into the following categories:

•   The results expert—someone who has knowledge others don’t yet possess.
•   The research expert—someone who researches a topic to become an expert.
•   The role model—someone trusted, respected, admired, followed, and listened to by others.

However, all Authors of Change have one thing in common: They feel called to write a book that inspires and motivates change. They want to make a positive and meaningful difference with their words.

What exciting project are you working on next?
My literary agent currently is pitching a book of mine about telling sacred stories—stories that help us fulfill our potential. This book includes writing exercises but is not for writers per se. It is for those wanting to stop allowing their old personal stories to hold them back and craft new ones that help them create a desired future.

Additionally, in 2025 I hope to revise and release two of my self-published writing guides and my first traditionally published book, How to Blog a Book. And, I want to submit a few proposals for other book projects.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I suppose, that was in elementary school, when I started writing stories about horses. However, in high school I stepped into this identity fully. I revived and edited the school newspaper, wrote for a local newspaper, and decided to pursue magazine journalism in college.

Do you write full-time? If so, what’s your workday like? If not, what do you do other than write and how do you find time to write?
I don’t write full time because I have built a business around my current and forthcoming books. I have a membership program that offers group Author Coaching called Nonfiction Writers’ University (https://ninaamir.com/nfwutrial/). I also have a membership program that provides group Transformational Coaching and personal/spiritual growth training to members called the Inspired Creator Community (https://ninaamir.com/icc-2022/). Running and promoting these programs keeps me rather busy, as does continually building author platform on social media. Plus, I sell courses.

That said, I work for myself, and writing is a part of my business—the most important part, even if it often is not the most profitable part.

When I need or want to work on a book project, I carve out time several days per week for this activity. I hunker down and focus on writing, and I become uber productive.

Sometimes it’s hard to get started…and I have to just make myself sit down and write. But once I’m writing, the words flow and I can write a lot in a short amount of time.

Of course, I write all the time. I publish five posts per month on my three blogs and do a tone of email marketing. And if I have a book manuscript that must be finished—or a magazine article that must be completed–on a deadline, writing becomes a priority. I do that first.

As a Certified High-Performance Coach, I know the value of doing what is most important first. You can’t let life get in the way of your life’s work.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I prefer to write on my laptop, but I am more productive at my desk.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A novelist.

Anything additional you want to share with the readers?
I hope this book will start a movement of it’s own, inspiring and motivating writers of all types to write for change.
