Welcome, John. Please tell us about your current release.
December of the Dark Sun is a novel based upon the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. A meek, mild mannered bookstore proprietor in the Cotswolds (England) stumbles upon some historic dialogue between Roosevelt and Churchill. The documents suggest that both men knew about the coming attack on Pearl (although neither suspected the horrific extent of it) and allowed it to happen in order to bring the United States into the war to save England.
What inspired you to write this novel?
Simply my long-standing curiosity about that event.
What exciting project are you working on next?
My in-process novel entitled A Dragon at the Gates creates, for the reader, a vivid image of the current strain between the United States and both Russia and China.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
Only after I received my first gold medal from the Florida Writers Association.
Do you write full-time?
I split my time between writing, family, and my teaching at the local Life Enrichment Center.
Do you a have a writing quirk?
A fierce determination to surprise the reader
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I lived in Greece and wanted to travel more, although I did not know much of that travel would come via my military service as a naval officer.
Anything else to share with the readers?
I would simply encourage them to try any of my books for a read they will long remember. Readers can find six books under my name.
