The Car with a Soul is an emotional, uplifting story of love, heartbreak, laughter, and friendship.

What inspired you to write this book?
I draw inspiration from the issues that stalk our minds, and I address such matters through the tales of fiction. My characters undergo a contemplative arc, which I hope my readers also sail in the same boat, which is why my work has been classified as “Books that make you ponder!”

Excerpt from The Car with a Soul:
Rahil handed a bouquet to Mr. Noting. “I wish you health, wealth, happiness, and sound relations just like the four wheels of your car,” he said in a humble tone with a smile as wide as the Hoover Dam. His sparkling white teeth would remind any onlooker of Jim Carrey.

“Now that’s one odd wish,” said the confused customer who had just closed the deal with this car salesman.

“But isn’t that what we all desire?” asked Rahil with a raised eyebrow. This six-foot guy had a gleam in his eye that was as bright as a star twinkling on a moonless night.

That got his customer thinking. “Sure! But nobody has ever greeted me like that, except for on my birthday. But comparing them to the four wheels of my car… Now, mind you, these wheels are inanimate objects, and you’re giving them attributes.”

Rahil liked how the customer was taking an interest, so he went deep into the topic. “But then you’ll be taking your car to places. The emotions you’ll experience are courtesy of the wheels that have driven you there.”

What exciting project are you working on next?
Next is a novella where my character looks for love and wants to get married. Having a family appeal to her. It’s a light read, but the end product is attractive. She gives up the idea of tying the knot and is still in a happy place.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
When I was working with a NGO raising awareness on simple things such as grow more trees, save water etc. I chose to write stories rather than the boring slogans.

Do you write full-time? If so, what’s your work day like? If not, what do you do other than write and how do you find time to write?
I’m an energy healer during the day. I’m at: www.explorereikiworld.com

I usually write at early dawn or dusk.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I like to write with instrumental music being played in the background. And inspiration strikes when I watch/read something that’s given me the goosebumps!

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Biochemist, which I did.

But I guess choices and destiny play a significant role in our lives, and here I am playing with words each day.

Anything additional you want to share with the readers?
I hope the readers enjoy the book and can connect with any one of the characters in this book.
